Responsibilities:

*  Design, develop, improve and maintain M&S models and simulations in support of the ITASE distributed simulation architecture.

*  Develop, implement, and maintain M&S models and simulations, including procedures and work instructions. 

*  Design, develop, automate, and maintain productivity tools using programming, database or scripting languages to sustain and improve the software development environment. 

*  Coordinate with simulation architecture, model, and tool developers to ensure quality in delivered products.

*  Performing the role of M&S Software Engineer across multiple acquisition efforts, to include: design, development, integration, test, deployment.

*  Experience with modern commercial software development practices and tools such at: AGILE, Kanban, Git, Artifactory, Cucumber, Atlassian, Jenkins, etc.

*  Experience with Linux OS, such as: RedHat (RHEL), CentOS, etc.

*  Familiarity with Joint Simulation Environment and other modeling and Sim frameworks (AFSIM, etc.)

*  Knowledge with container frameworks and orchestration, such as: Kubernetes, K8s, Docker, Singularity, OCI, etc.

*  Efficient with hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.

*  Familiarity with digital engineering best practices, to include use of model-based system engineering approaches.

*  Assisting in the development of RFP packages and other technical documentation for competition and acquisition of new systems.

*  High-level familiarity with open system design concepts and open architectures.

*  Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. 

Qualifications:

*  6-8+ years of experience in software engineering or a closely related field.

*  Candidates should have demonstrated skill sets in programming languages such as C, C++, and Python

*  Strong oral and written communication skills.

*  Self-starting, charge-the-hill mentality to deliver mission capability at the speed of need.

Education:

*  A bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, math, or computer science.

Clearance Requirements:

*  Must possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain SCI. SAP experience highly desired.
