Responsibilities:
The Business Analytics & Insights Structure within Financial Operations provides direct support to senior leadership. Reporting, analytical, and modeling support provided by teams within this particular area in Business Analytics & Insights support executive leadership to make informed decisions. The teams focus on prospective insights by proactively identifying anticipated trends, providing monitoring and tracking of results relative to forecasts, and providing ad hoc decision support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provides effective leadership over State Farm Financial Operations by modeling behaviors that encourage curiosity, collaboration, advance technical understanding, inspire ideas, and drive actions and results
* Serves as a consultant and advisor to Executive leadership on Enterprise performance management, strategy development, business acumen, interpretation of financial/statistical and analytic/modeling information, and marketplace issues
* Identifies, interprets, and shares insights collected from results, trend analysis, market insights, and forecast analysis with the Executive leadership team to leverage information in ways that positively impact planning, risk identification, and execution strategies
* Supports the Executive leadership team in communicating strategies and priorities and monitoring progress towards Enterprise goals
* Initiates or responds to requests for special studies, research, projects or committee work at the request of Executive leadership
* Promotes the training, personal growth, professional development, succession planning and effectiveness of direct reports within area of responsibility
* Leverages extensive specialized experience and modeling/technical expertise to support strategic direction and deploy plans and programs for the organization
Qualifications:
* Master's degree in a quantitative field strongly preferred
* Strong leadership skills to manage Technical Analysts
* Experience with statistical modeling, time-series forecasting, or machine learning
* Strong business knowledge, critical thinking, and analytical skills
* Ability to effectively communicate complex topics
* Influences diverse business area initiatives and stakeholders in order to help drive collaboration and identify efficiencies
* Demonstrates broad business acumen to drive connectivity and strategy of impactful projects
* Leads strategically by making forward-thinking decisions that are grounded in data and focused on driving results
* Possesses strong organization, collaboration and communication skillsets
* A variety of related background experiences leading analytics and modeling efforts
* Adaptable to work non-standard hours to meet customer deadlines
