Overview: Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor (PRN as needed/on-call) Location: Community-Based (within 1-hour physical response to assigned region) Department: Crisis Services Affiliate: UnityPoint Health - Eyerly Ball UnityPoint Health is seeking compassionate and resilient individuals to join our Mobile Crisis Response Team. As a Mobile Crisis On-Call Counselor, you will provide on-site support and consultation to clients experiencing mental health crises in community or home settings. This role is vital in helping individuals achieve stability during critical moments. Current openings & locations: (1) Ames, IA - Weekends, flexible hours based on applicant's availability (1) Des Moines, IA - Weekends, flexible hours based on applicants availability (1) Mason City, IA - Day shift (8 hours) (3) Algona/Garner/Britt Iowa- All shifts available, flexible based on applicant's availablity Shifts: The shifts range from 7a-3p, 3p-11p and 11p-7a daily. On call pay is $3.25 to be available. Responsibilities: * Crisis Response (30%): Deliver immediate intervention and support to clients in crisis at the location where the crisis is occurring * Documentation (30%): Complete all required data entry and documentation in accordance with agency policy . * On-Call Availability (30%): Be reachable by phone and ready to respond within a 1-hour radius, coordinating with your on-call partner * Compliance & Standards (10%): Uphold UnityPoint Health values, maintain required certifications, and adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines Qualifications: Education: Must meet one of the following: * Mental health professional as defined in Iowa Code section 228.1 * Bachelor's degree; or * Associate's degree; or * High school diploma Experience (based on education level noted above): * Mental health professional: 1 year of mental health experience * Bachelor's in human services: 1 year * Bachelor's in non-human services: 2 years * Associate's degree: 2 years * High school diploma: 2 years Licenses/Certifications: * Valid driver's license and compliance with Eyerly Ball's auto insurance policy * Must pass criminal records and dependent adult/child abuse checks
