The Market Director will be oversee our Houston market which consists of 8 locations.

* Rehab Leadership in an acute care or post-acute Rehab setting highly Preferred
* To build a foundation for success, the Marketing Director should have experience in Inpatient Rehab, Outpatient Therapy, Sports Medicine clinic, Home Health or skilled nursing center.

Responsibilities:

The Market Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the staff and activities for rehabilitation therapy services in the inpatient, post-acute, and outpatient settings for all market facilities.  The Market Director is self-directed and provides insightful leadership and management for managers, supervisors, and staff.  The Market Director is highly organized, functions in a fast-paced environment, and represents excellence in healthcare service delivery.  The Market Director is responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice following practice act guidelines and ensures that services are delivered in compliance with CommonSpirit Health's mission, ethical standards, and policies and procedures.
Essential Key Job Responsibilities
Leads the development of therapy, and other related services, objectives and integration of services in support of the health system's mission and vision and in alignment with the health system's strategic business direction by collaborating with others to create and execute integrated business plans.  Identifies short and long range goals as well as desired outcomes measures and develops a plan of implementation, monitoring, reporting and evaluating.  Attends to growth and market development by innovating, building revenue producing services, and fortifying referral streams.

Assesses and improves the quality of patient care and services provided to assure high standards on a continual basis.  Ensuring the development, implementation and monitoring of Performance Improvement activities; uses data-driven decision making, benchmarks, goals, and action plans to ensure performance excellence.

Ensures that the patient care units and services are in compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS Conditions of Participation, Federal and State regulations and professional organization standards and that quality control and compliance programs are maintained as appropriate.  Upholds standards of professional and ethical practice and models a culture of safety and high reliability.

Develops and monitors departmental budget and all related expenditures including recommendations of a sufficient number of qualified and competent staff, space and other resource needs ensuring maximization of resources, efficiency and financial stewardship of patient care operations.

Recruits, orients, trains, coaches, mentors and retains department managers and/or supervisors based upon periodic competency assessment, identified job expectations/responsibilities, and encouraging professional/educational growth and opportunities.  Ensures through the department managers and supervisors that patient needs are met through coordination and collaboration throughout the health system.

Directs in a respectful, courteous, and consistent manner; fosters effective communication with physicians, nurses, therapists, students, volunteers, patients, families and other hospital personnel to establish department rapport.  Tailors communication to develop strong employee engagement and retention.  Maintains positive physician relations and effectively resolves complaints or concerns from patients, families, staff and physicians timely.  Collaborates with all members of the health system leadership team to achieve health system goals.

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience:

Education: Bachelor Degree in therapeutic specialty area

Experience: Five (5) - seven (7) years as a practicing Therapist in a hospital or other medical setting, three (3) years progressively responsible supervisory experience. 

Required Licensure and Certifications:

Licensed therapist in the specialty area

BLS/CPR Certified
