Responsibilities:
A Microsoft Licensing Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the licensing of Microsoft products and services for an organization. They ensure compliance with Microsoft licensing agreements, find opportunities for cost reduction, and offer mentorship on standard methodologies and strategies for Microsoft licensing.
Responsibilities
Analyze the current and future Microsoft licensing needs for customer organization and recommend the most suitable and efficient licensing solutions.
Monitor and supervise the usage and consumption of Microsoft products and services and ensure compliance with the licensing terms and conditions.
Manage and maintain the inventory and documentation of Microsoft licenses and agreements.
Coordinate with Microsoft to help customer procure, renew, and terminate Microsoft licenses and subscriptions.
Deliver training and support to those involved in Microsoft licensing policies and procedures, including collaborators, customers, partners, and team members.
Stay updated on the latest Microsoft licensing trends, changes, and updates and communicate them to the relevant parties.
Prepare and present reports and analysis on Microsoft licensing performance and optimization.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
* At least 6 years of experience in Microsoft licensing management or administration.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and services and their licensing models and options.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and tools.
* Superb communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
* Attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
* Certification in Microsoft Licensing (such as MCP, MCT, or SAM) is preferred.
