Responsibilities:
* Providing leadership, coaching, and mentoring individuals by maintaining engagement, providing feedback, identifying growth opportunities, providing career guidance, facilitating goal setting, identifying training opportunities, completing performance appraisals, and addressing personnel issues
* Driving platform evolution through strong technical leadership and a proven track record of delivery
* Providing timely updates to stakeholders on project status or roadblocks
* Allocating resources appropriately for tight timelines and dynamic requirements
* Driving agile development values and practices and fostering an environment in which individuals and teams are empowered and remain excited and motivated
* Developing and promoting an understanding of the overall application delivery lifecycle and activities, including concepts around continuous delivery, DevOps, Metrics and Automation
* Contributing to our culture of continual learning and continuous improvement
* Identifying, creating, and fostering business relationships across departments and functions by working with the product organization and other stakeholders
* Managing and maintaining Product Roadmaps in conjunction with Business Partners
* Participating in and contributing to technical strategic planning, refinement, and execution
* Demonstrating the company's values by maintaining a positive demeanor, being transparent, encouraging diversity of thought, and leading the team through organizational changes
Qualifications:
* BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
* 2+ years of experience leading or managing a software engineering team
* 5+ years of experience in full-stack software engineering
* Experience in managing complex systems, ideally in payment transaction processing
* Experience with agile development practices and managing Sprint Ceremonies
* Strong knowledge of Java and related frameworks
* Strong knowledge of architecture and software design
* Experience with Kubernetes
* Familiarity with design patterns and principles
* Excellent communication skills
