Overview:
The manager of Analytics and Informatics provides guidance and management of healthcare/clinical business analyst involved in creating and implementing both reports and analysis that help maximize the effectiveness of health management initiatives and strategies. The position requires strong leadership, organizational and time management skills and serves as a coach that utilizes their healthcare/clinical business knowledge to develop and grow the skill set of the healthcare/clinical business analyst they manage.
The individual works closely with Analytics and Informatics leadership to develop analytical tools that Novant leadership can utilize in making data driven decisions. The position ensures accurate data collection, efficient processing, and actionable analysis is followed on all data produced by the team.

Qualifications:
* Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree required. Graduate Degree preferred.
* Experience: Min 6 years of data and/or analytics exp in a payor, acute, ambulatory environment (i.e. nursing, pharmacy, public health) or data mgmt/business intelligence (BI)
* Licensure/certification/registration: RN Lincense in state preferred.
* Additional skills required: Strong leadership and organizational skills. Knowledge of operations in the health care industry and a strong understanding of business processes. Skill and ability to work with multiple business intelligence tool sets. Monitor quality controls and departmental standards to ensure quality standards are being met. Ability to facilitate smooth operation of the department through effective management of personnel. Ability to manage and effectively communicate to the team prioritization and deadlines of data request and large data projects. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with proven ability to initiate and develop productive collaborative partnerships. Ability to drive/travel to multiple
facilities/locations as needed.

* Anticipate future demands of initiatives related to people, technology, budget and business within your department and design/implement solutions to meet these needs.
* Communicate key insight identified through analysis of the data to Novant leadership. Assists with the development and implementation of plans/processes to facilitate change designed to achieve superior performance.
* Experience with statistical modeling using R, Python or similar.
* Experience with extracting and manipulating data using relational databases and data modeling techniques.
* Experience with Healthcare Claims data.
* Experience with data and analytic tools (on-prem or cloud) like SSMS, PowerBI, Azure or similar.
