Performs direct observation of the patient with a mental health or behavioral safety need. Utilizes specialized training, de-escalation techniques and other interventions as applicable to create a therapeutic and calming environment for patients. Communicates patient mental and/or physical status changes to the primary Registered Nurse and/or Nurse Leader. Completes data collection related to patient care, administers basic treatments and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse, and communicates patient responses to the care provided to the Registered Nurse. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

* High School Diploma/ GED Required
* Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related human services field, preferred
* One year experience in an acute care setting, mental health, human services or related is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of therapeutic interventions. Basic computer skills
* BLS

Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10

This full time day role will work from 7:00am to 7:00pm on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
