Performs direct observation of the patient with a mental health or behavioral safety need. Utilizes specialized training, deescalation techniques and other interventions as applicable to create a therapeutic and calming environment for patients. Communicates patient mental and/or physical status changes to the primary Registered Nurse and/or Nurse Leader. Completes data collection related to patient care, administers basic treatments and procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse, and communicates patient responses to the care provided to the Registered Nurse. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.

High School Diploma or GED 
Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related human services field, preferred

One year experience in an acute care setting, mental health, human services or related
Strong interpersonal skills 
Knowledge of therapeutic interventions
Basic computer skills

BLS

Medium Work - exert/lift up to 50 lbs. force occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs. frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs constantly.

The schedule for this role is 11:00am to 11:00pm, Every Friday and Saturday.  This role offers both evening and weekend differential on top of base pay.
