Overview: Responsibilities: Utilizes professional application of the principles, theories and techniques of Medical Technology to provide accurate and reliable laboratory test results to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Working knowledge of clinical lab procedures Licensure, Registration, Certification: Registry eligible One of the following within 24 months of employment*: * MT(ASCP): Medical Technologist certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. * MT(AMT): Medical Technologist certified by the American Medical Technologists. * MLS(ASCP): Medical Laboratory Scientist certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. * MLS(AMT): Medical Laboratory Scientist certified by the American Medical Technologists. * CS(ASCP): Specialist in Chemistry certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. * C(ASCP): Technologist in Chemistry certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology. * MLT(FBCLP): Medical Laboratory Technician certified by the Florida Board of Clinical Laboratory Personnel. * Specialist ASCP: approved Specialist certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology * If hired prior to 1/1/2004, only registry eligibility is required Desired Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology Bachelor of Science in a Biological Science Licensure, Registration, Certification: MT(ASCP), MT(AMT)
