Responsibilities:

At DignityHealth Chandler Regional Medical Center, we deliver humankindness through a wide range of health, social and support services in the heart of Chandler, Arizona. As part of our team, you will provide clinical expertise; support and oversight that helps ensure our patients receive exceptional care. The Medical/Surgical Onocology Unit at Chandler Regional Medical Center is a dynamic environment where you can pursue a highly challenging and rewarding career. The C5 Medical Surgical Unit at Chandler Regional Medical Center is a 32 bed service line, with emphasis on orthopedic, surgical, and oncology/chemotherapy specialization. The unit is staffed based on acuity based staffing. There are 3 isolation rooms on unit, all private beds.

Responsibilities:

* Registered Nurse who shares the same passion for our critically ill patients to coordinate, supervise and implement patient care based on competence, professional expertise, knowledge and evidence-based practice. 
* All Staff Nurses are expected to practice autonomously, consistent with professional standards, Nurse Practice Act and hospital job description. 
* Assess patient/family health problems and resources, taking a leadership role in the development, implementation and outcomes evaluation of a plan for nursing care. 
* Provides professional nursing care and interventions to acutely ill adult patient populations.
* The unit works collaboratively with other disciplines for quality outcomes.  Patient Care Conferences are held weekly, a multidisciplinary approach to patient care.
* The RN staff work 12 hours shifts with ancillary staffing personnel.
* The staff encourage patient-family centered care.

Qualifications:

Minimum:  

* One (1) year acute care experience
* ADN, Diploma, BSN or foreign equivalent
* Current AZ State RN License in good standing
* Current American Heart Association BLS card
* American Heart Association ACLS card within 6 months of hire

Preferred:  

* Chemo Certification through ONS within 6 months of hire
