A laboratory professional responsible for performance of all levels of general testing within the analytical laboratory. The Medical Tech provides a high level of technical knowledge and application of that knowledge to department testing and clinical relevance. While in this position we ask that you feel comfortable consistently functioning in a self-directed manner and exhibits complex problem solving skills. Monthly Summit County housing stipend available for full time residents of Summit, Park, Eagle, Grand, Clear Creek or Lake Counties. Must work at least 80% physically on-site at a CommonSpirit Health facility in Summit County and full time or part time status (PRN ineligible). More details available upon offer Qualifications: In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: To be qualified for a Medical Lab Tech: * 1 year of related work experience preferred * Associates Degree or completion of a U.S. Military 50-week course leading to specialty of Medical Laboratory Specialist or equivalent role and ASCP MLT certification or equivalent, OR Bachelors Degree in a Science field with applicable clinical experience. * MLT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification required within 6 months of hire To be qualified for a Medical Tech: * 1 year related work experience preferred * MLS with ASCP certification, or MT/MLT with ASCP, AMT, or equivalent certification, or specialty ASCP certification in the assigned department required within 6 months of hire * Associate's Degree Required * Bachelor's Degree Preferred Schedule: 1pm-11:30pm Physical Requirements-Light work - (Exert up to 20lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 10lbs frequently)
