Overview: Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Make a real difference every day as a Medical Assistant with the Robert Young Center! Join our Outpatient Psychiatry team to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care, support providers, coordinate treatment plans, and guide clients through their healing journey. Responsibilities: * Assures that all clients receive clinically sound information and ongoing care for behavioral health needs. * Performs client assessments by checking vital signs, a physical exam by measuring height and weight, and obtains the client's history by asking questions about conditions, medications, and allergies. * Collects information and communicates medication requests and client problems to the provider. * Responds to phone calls for crises intervention by providing brief direction, recommendations, and crises intervention. * Requests consultation with social workers and therapists for clients when necessary. * Delivers high quality care appropriate to the age and educational level of the client. Qualifications: Education: * Graduate of an accredited MA program or two years Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) experience. Experience: * Two years' mental health experience, preferred. License(s)/Certification(s): * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training within 6 months of hire. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs. The salary range listed does not include other forms of compensation which may include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits that may be applicable to this role.
