Overview: Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Make a real difference every day as a Medical Assistant with the Robert Young Center! Join our Outpatient Psychiatry team to deliver compassionate, trauma-informed care, support providers, coordinate treatment plans, and guide clients through their healing journey. Responsibilities: * Assures that all clients receive clinically sound information and ongoing care for behavioral health needs. * Performs client assessments by checking vital signs, a physical exam by measuring height and weight, and obtains the client's history by asking questions about conditions, medications, and allergies. * Collects information and communicates medication requests and client problems to the provider. * Responds to phone calls for crises intervention by providing brief direction, recommendations, and crises intervention. * Requests consultation with social workers and therapists for clients when necessary. * Delivers high quality care appropriate to the age and educational level of the client. Qualifications: Education: * Graduate of an accredited MA program or two years Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) experience. Experience: * Two years' mental health experience, preferred. License(s)/Certification(s): * Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. * Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) training within 6 months of hire. *Specific offers are determined by various factors, such as experience, skills, internal equity, and other business needs.
