Responsibilities:

Provide on-site Clinic and/or Medical Services Unit (MSU) with medical support appropriate for the full scope of practice as a Medical Assistant. Provide patient care and treatments, administer medications, and perform medical interventions under the clinical supervision of the Medical Director or other MD and administrative supervision of the Clinical Nurse Manager or designee. Provide full clerical and receptionist services, support providers in appointments, and act as a liaison between Clinic/MSU and other departments to facilitate patient healthcare services.

* Provide medical interventions for patients and staff
* Provide clerical and receptionist services
* Perform laboratory services
* Support the obtaining and management of medications including the facilitation of medication administration
* Provide customer service utilizing Be of Service principles
* Continually seek and maintain knowledge necessary to facilitate optimal patient care and comfort 
* Maintain unit order to result in optimal efficiency in delivery of services
* Assure a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, guests and visitors 

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: 

* High school diploma or equivalent
* Successful completion of accredited Medical Assistant Training program and competency program or state competency test and have worked as a CMA in the past 24 months. (Prior CMA certification and work as a CMA in the past 24 months will indicate the criteria has been met.)
* Current CPR/AED Certification
* Certification must be from The American Heart Association or The American Red Cross

* Must be age 18 or older
* Minimum of two years freedom from chemical use problems

Preferred Qualifications: 

* Associate or Bachelor's Degree
* Current certification as a Medical Assistant
* At least one year experience as a CMA
