The Medical Assistant Training Coordinator assumes accountability and responsibility for provision of professional development to positively influence the quality of patient care. This reflects collaborative practice with CHPG clinical and operational leadership teams, medical directors and directors (dyad teams), practice managers and supervisors, regional and corporate nursing education and front line care teams to enhance patient care safety, quality, and competency of care delivered. As a Medical Assistant Training Coordinator you will:
* Identifies needs and designs appropriate educational strategies and methods to facilitate associate competence and meet applicable regulatory and professional standards.
* Utilizes the educational design process of assessing, developing, implementing and evaluation educational activities in alignment with corporate programs.
* Takes a collaborative, interdisciplinary approach to influence patient care in the educator, facilitator, consultant, researcher and change agent roles.
Qualifications:
In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:
* Three years medical assistant experience, required
* 1-2 years of staff development, academic teaching and/or project development coordination, preferred
* High School Diploma or GED required
* Diploma from an accredited medical assistant's program and externship completed, preferred
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from American Heart Association required
* Nationally Certified as a Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant by one of the following: AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT, required
Sedentary work -(prolonged periods of sitting and exert up to 10lbs force occasionally)
