Days and Hours:

Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Responsibilities:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

* Creates 3D models of parts and prototypes using Solidworks software.
* Generates 2D prints using AutoCAD for part prints and tool designs.
* Feasibility assessment of specifications, new part designs and tooling.
* Completing cost estimate worksheets (CEW's) and engineering change notifications (ECN's).
* Assist with developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment conferring with equipment vendors as needed.
* Conducts research to determine equipment and parts availability, manufacturability, ease of assembly, and cost of specified projects.
* Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods as needed; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing process.
* Identifies causes of process instability and recommends solutions.
* Other non-essential duties may be assigned as necessary. 
* Follow all relevant Quality and / or Environmental standards to which Fair Rite is certified.
* Follow all O.S.H.A. standards and the F/R Safety and Health Policy.

Qualifications:

Preferred Education / Experience Requirements:

* BS degree in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering or related field with a minimum of 2 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

* CAD software: AutoCAD and SolidWorks
* Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
*  Knowledge of a variety of manufacturing processes, including common engineering concepts, practices and procedures
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills to deal with all levels of production employees
* Ability to operate ERP and MRP system effectively 
* Solid communication skills, both written and verbal
* Ability to work under minimal supervision 
* Advanced PC, Excel and Analytical skills
* Knowledge of advanced production quality planning, design skills and design of experiments 
* Data collection / SPC 
* Must have a high level of accuracy and strong organizational skills
