				Overview:

MG2, an affiliate of Colliers Engineering & Design, is hiring a Mechanical Engineering Department Manager to lead our Buildings Engineering Services team in Seattle, WA! This individual will perform duties in support of the direction and vision of the overall Buildings Engineering Services discipline. You will also oversee, direct and manage the work effort of assigned staff members.

We provide a full range of mechanical engineering services to municipal, commercial, higher education and public works agencies, partnering with clients to design buildings from the ground-up or to renovate existing buildings to optimize their use. From designing new and renovated systems, to providing both new building commissioning and retro-commissioning services, count on our team to develop a building solution that is both cost-effective and achieves our clients' goals.

Our engineers work with clients from concept through construction to create customized, cost-effective solutions that enhance the health, welfare, safety and comfort of building occupants. Our experts are skilled at reducing energy usage while creating comfortable interior environments. We understand sustainability and the importance of ensuring that high performance buildings perform as designed.

Our designs emphasize performance and are built with long-term facility operations in mind. Decisions are driven by objective data and in-depth client collaboration.

Responsibilities:

* Reviews and manages operations to ensure the quality of the technical products.
* Establishes effective long-range objectives, goals, and plans for assigned team.
* Provides technical and management leadership to the assigned team.
* Develops marketing program in conjunction with discipline goals.
* Advises and assists professionals in other groups when expert knowledge and expertise is required.
* Manages activities so an adequate profit is earned on all projects.
* Reviews monthly productivity and labor hour utilization-rates, reports and makes adjustments as needed.
* Assigns projects to staff and schedules work.
* Evaluate Employee Performance in accordance with company policy.

Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering required. 
* 10+ years of professional experience as a Mechanical Engineer. 
* P.E. required. 
* Demonstrated effective leadership across large groups of employees.
* Ability to read, write and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.

Compensation: $145,000 to $209,000 per year (depending on qualifications)
