Mechanic Associate
IMMEDIATELY HIRING MECHANIC ASSOCIATE FULL-TIME
$46.33/hourly (DOE)
We're hiring a Mechanic Associate responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet across multiple locations within the (specific brand within the company) company. This technician will be qualified to support our ground frame (specify ground frames). This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.
Responsibilities:
* Mechanic Associate will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
* Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
* Clearly document service paperwork and OSHA safety guidelines as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company's information security standards.
* Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the ground ambulance maintenance team and ground crew.
* Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
* Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow mechanics and operations team.
Minimum Required Qualifications
* High school diploma or GED.
* Minimum of 18 years of age.
* At least three years of Fleet Maintenance and repair experience.
* Strong electrical diagnosis and repair background.
* Basic knowledge of diagnosis and repair of diesel and gas engines.
* Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
* Ability to provide good customer service.
* CA driver's license and driving record in compliance with AMR policy regarding insurability.
* Knowledge of methods, materials, tools, equipment and standard practices used to maintain a fleet of vehicles in a safe manner.
* Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions followed in heavy equipment repair shops.
* Ability to safely operate motor vehicles, an assortment of hand and power tools and other work-related equipment.
* Must have and maintain the required tools, including a roll-away toolbox, to perform all duties.
* ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) (Preferred)
* EVT (Emergency Vehicle Technician certification (Preferred)
