Overview: Vibrant Tampa Bay - Large Established Practice Responsibilities: Pediatrix(r) Medical Group seeks an experienced Materal Fetal Medicine Specialist to join its 7 physician MFM team in Tampa, FL. * Well established practice of over 20 years with continued growth and a long-standing reputation for excellence in clinical care * Both office and hospital based, with no delivery service, cover 4 hospitals and multiple office locations * Supports our affiliated OB Hospitalist and Neonatology teams at St. Joseph's Women's Hospital in Tampa, which has a 76-bed Level-IV NICU and 24/7 OB Hospitalist coverage * Coverage also extends to patients at Advent, Morton Plant and Meese Countryside Hospitals * Coverage to include a high risk clinic operated in conjunction with Baycare Health * No obstetrical deliveries, 1:7 call for hospital consultations and ultrasound coverage, typically on call 4 times a month and once every 6th weekend * Access to state-of-the-art perinatal ultrasound, invasive prenatal diagnosis and therapy equipment * We enjoy a collaborative relationship with our OBGYNs, Midwives and Neonatology colleagues and hospital partners to provide outstanding local perinatal care * Pediatrix Medical Group is currently compromised of 30 MFM practices with more than 150 maternal-fetal medicine physicians covering more than 15 states, making us the single largest employer of MFMs nationwide Tampa Fast Facts: * Top ranked city on US News & World Report's list of best places to live in 2024 * Located on Florida's Gulf Coast, Tampa is famous for its beautiful beaches, including Clearwater Beach, St. Pete Beach and Honeymoon Island * The sports fanatic's paradise has three professional teams, including Tampa Bay Buccaneers (football), Tampa Bay Rays (baseball) and Tampa Bay Lightning (hockey) * A diverse population and rich cultural heritage are reflected in Tampa's museums, galleries and festivals * Various local and international cuisines, such as Cuban, Italian and seafood, for the food enthusiasts * Relatively low cost of living compared to other major cities in Florida * The area offers numerous state and nationally ranked public, private, and religious schools * Home to the University of South Florida, one of the state's largest universities * Abundance of year-round outdoor activities, such as golfing, boating, fishing, kayaking and hiking * A family-friendly city, with numerous parks, playgrounds and family-oriented activities * Tampa is Florida's third-largest city, with more than 387,000 residents and a metro area population of 2.9 million * Tampa enjoys warm weather throughout the year, with mild winters averaging 60 F and summers averaging 82 F Qualifications: BC/BE Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician
