Our Calgary office is seeking a Material Testing Technician, the successful candidate will work in collaboration with the Materials Team, and will have the opportunity to work on various exciting projects alongside senior engineers/technicians in the field. Responsibilities: Your main responsibilities * Field testing of civil construction materials such as soils, aggregates, concrete, and asphalt * Learn about construction equipment, sequencing, and drawings * Compaction testing of soils, aggregates and asphalt * Concrete testing; casting cylinders and performing slump and air measurements * Asphalt testing; Marshall analysis, pavement coring, and onsite sampling * Preparing daily test summary report * Technicians will be provided with a company truck * Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules. Qualifications: What makes you unique * A Degree or a Diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering Technology is an asset; * Construction experience would be considered an asset; * Valid drivers license, current drivers abstract, and insurance claims experience letter will be required; * Technicians will be provided with a company truck; * Quick learner with a good attitude; * CSA approved laced steel-toed boots * Alcohol and drug testing may be required upon arrival * Must be able to work outside of normal working hours and any overtime assigned.
