				Overview:

Lead failure investigations focused on components, including polymer and die-cast materials, used in barcode scanners, mobile computers, tablets, and other related items. This role involves providing expert support to engineering teams in designing and executing experiments for verification and root cause analysis, with a strong emphasis on tooling, Moldflow, and manufacturing processes, including die casting.

This is a Hybrid position where you will be required to come into the office a minimum of 3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

* Conduct and oversee root cause analysis of polymer and die-cast components and processes, identifying and addressing failure points.
* Generate detailed reports of analyses performed, including recommendations for improvement.
* Lead internal meetings to drive the design and selection of components, materials, and processes.
* Conduct competitive benchmarking of components, materials, and processes used in the industry.
* Analyze and perform teardown of assemblies and components.
* Apply advanced knowledge of tooling, Moldflow, and die casting processes to enhance the design and manufacturing of components, ensuring optimal performance and quality.
* Train associates on the use of lab equipment, including developing and maintaining documentation.
* Exercise judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to assignments.
* Provide resolutions to a diverse range of complex problems, requiring evaluation of various factors.
* Evaluate new equipment and techniques of failure analysis.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirement: 

*  Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Reliability) or equivalent STEM, (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) based degree.

*  5+ years' experience. Candidates with a Master's Degree and 3+ years of experience will be considered.

Preferred Requirement:

*  Advanced understanding to perform technical analysis with problem-solving capability associated with the manufacturing or functionality of electro-mechanical products

*  Advanced level of knowledge of mechanical equipment

*  Effective verbal and written communication skills
