Keysight's Precision Meso-scale Technology Center (PMTC) located in Santa Rosa, CA exists to provide precision machined components that enable the capabilities of Keysight's industry leading electronic measurement equipment. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Material Coordinator to support daily manufacturing operations in a precision machining environment. This role is responsible for ensuring materials and consumables are available to support production activities. The Material Coordinator plays a critical role in maintaining flow on the shopfloor, minimizing downtime, and enabling machinists and engineers to stay focused on execution.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure all materials (raw, WIP, consumables) are available, staged, and ready ahead of production jobs to prevent downtime
* Support daily production priorities and respond quickly to material shortages or urgent shopfloor needs
* Maintain a strong presence on the shopfloor and warehouse, partnering with machinists and supervisors to remove material-related blockers
* Receive, inspect, store, and organize materials; maintain a clean, structured, and efficient warehouse
* Manage inventory including cycle counts, reconciliation, labeling, and traceability to ensure high inventory accuracy
* Execute accurate transactions in ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) and maintain alignment between physical inventory and system data
* Track and move WIP between operations as necessary to maintain continuous production flow
* Coordinate kitting, staging, and replenishment aligned to the production schedule
* Proactively identify and escalate material risks, shortages, or delays; support expediting of critical jobs
* Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment to safely transport materials
* Identify and implement improvements in material flow, staging, and warehouse organization to reduce downtime
Qualifications:
* 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, production support, warehouse, or material coordination
* Experience working in a shopfloor environment with direct support to production operations
* Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Experience with ERP systems and inventory transactions (Oracle preferred)
* Ability to maintain accuracy, traceability, and control of inventory and WIP
* Comfortable with physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs, standing/walking for extended periods, and working in a production environment
* Experience operating or ability to be certified on forklifts and material handling equipment
* Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with machinists, supervisors, planning, and engineering
Preferred:
* Experience in precision machining environments
* Familiarity with WIP tracking, production scheduling, and material flow concepts
* Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement initiatives
Pay Range:
USD $61,320.00 - USD $102,200.00 Year
