The Marketing Strategist is a highly analytical marketer focused on market development, responsible for writing and editing marketing communication materials, articles, and promotional pieces; supporting network departments, hospital, service line, and system-wide marketing efforts, including special events (in person and virtual), openings, and market research; implementing social networking and new media strategies in conjunction with the web team to generate leads and grow the business; and supporting the Hackensack Meridian Health (HMH) branding strategy and initiatives. Functions as part of cross-functional teams to support multiple strategic marketing priorities.

This position will support the Oncology service line.  It will offer a hybrid schedule and travel will be required througout our hospital locations.

Responsibilities:

A day in the life of a Marketing Strategist  at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

* Design and implement marketing strategies aligned with business targets. 
* Set specific marketing goals. 
* Develop digital campaigns to increase web traffic. 
* Analyze sales and marketing metrics. 
* Forecast market trends. 
* Research the market to identify new opportunities.
* Generate innovative ideas to promote our brand and our products. 
* Address advertising needs.
* Ensure brand consistency through all marketing channels. 
* Use customer feedback to ensure client satisfaction. 
* Liaise with internal teams and ensure brand consistency. 
* Establish a strong, long-term web presence.
* Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals. 
* Good leadership, team player, and interpersonal skills. 
* Ability to work with and manage external partners. 
* Develop strategic communications to align with marketing objectives.
* Other duties and/or projects as assigned. 
* Adheres to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Qualifications:

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

* Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business; or equivalent (4) years of relevant experience. 
* Minimum of 3 - 5 years (or if no degree, a minimum of 7 - 9 years) of marketing experience. 
* Strong grammar skills are non-negotiable. 
* Proven ability to understand business issues. 
* Excellent communicator, well-spoken with excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
* Independent self-starter with a sense of urgency and a strong desire to consistently advance organization goals.
* Strong multiple project management skills with an affinity for consistently producing high-quality work. 
* Customer-focused with a passion for customer service. 
* Experience evaluating and assessing internal/external client and market needs, and transforming them into actionable marketing plans/campaigns. 
* Establish a strong, long-term web presence. 
* Excellent knowledge of marketing fundamentals. 
* Good leadership, team player, and interpersonal skills. 
* Ability to work with and manage external partners.
* Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.

 Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

* Master's degree in a related field such as Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or Business. 
* Prior healthcare experience.
