This position will be 1.0 FTE (.6 FTE admin).Provides leadership and management of regional team inclusive of physician and APPs as well as physician site leaders. Maintains oversight of regional operations including recruiting and onboarding of doctors and advanced practice providers, program finances, management of human resources, and scheduling process. Maintains focus on patient safety and experience as well as quality measures at hospitals within region. Acts as liaison between hospital medicine leadership and local entities.

* Patient Care/Outcomes

*  Expert in knowledge of best practice guidelines to ensure excellent patient outcomes

*  System and local involvement in initiatives and workgroups to improve patient safety and experience

*  Review and analyze data to assist in creation of action plans to improve areas of opportunity in the realms of quality, safety, and patient experience

* Human Resources

*  Lead physician and APP recruitment for region

*  Work closely with hospital medicine leadership team at system and local level to onboard physicians and APPs

*  Management of human resource interventions at facilities through collaboration with site lead and local human resources team

*  Participate in review of staffing models and staffing needs at local facilities within region

*  Collaborate with scheduling team and Site Lead to manage clinical schedules as governed by scheduling norms

* Finance and Operations

*  Work with Executive Medical Director and CMG finance regarding financial goals of individual programs

*  Review financial data and collaborate with hospital and CMG hospital medicine leadership to optimize efficiency and fiscal responsibility

*  Participation in local and system level workgroups in areas of opportunity (e.g., LOS, readmissions, etc.)

* Additional Leadership Responsibilities

*  Lead quarterly operations meetings with hospital executive teams at facilities within region

*  Support and provide information for monthly local hospital medicine team meetings

*  Data review and analysis to determine opportunities in areas of patient safety, quality, and patient experience

*  Data review and analysis to determine opportunities in operational efficiency

*  Mentoring and leadership development for facility-based Site Leads and Hospitalists

Qualifications:

In addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following:

* Strong previous performance of providing quality and efficiency in patient care and operations.
* Strong track record of recruitment, retention of talent and leadership development.
* Experience with leading and redirecting talent as needed.
* Strong ability to lead in a changing environment.
* Budgetary, and Quality Assurance experience for a physician practice.
* Preferred affiliation with CommonSpirit for greater than one year.
