Overview:
The Manufacturing and Lab Security Analyst II is a member of the Information Security Team - which performs analysis on cyberthreats, reviews and triages security alerts, and other suspicious system or network activity with a focus on Lab and Manufacturing environments. The Manufacturing and Lab Security Analyst identifies methods to mitigate future risk to networked systems. The Manufacturing and Lab Security Analyst researches external malicious cyberactivity to proactively identify ways to mitigate risk to the network. Also, as part of the Information Security Team the Manufacturing and Lab Security Analyst will be a liaison between the Lab and Manufacturing user community.
Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities
* Identify and implement solutions to mitigate risk to the Lab or Manufacturing environments
* Analyze vulnerabilities and threats, determine their potential impact, and recommend strategies for risk prevention
* Assist with network segmentation projects
* Test new network security systems and changes to existing network security devices
* Develop technical project plans, requirement documentation, test plans, change requests, and communications to users
* This position will maintain frequent contact with the Lab and Manufacturing user community as well as external vendors to maintain communications related to problem resolution, systems upgrades, services and product research
* Ensure compliance with relevant security standards, policies, and regulations
* Coordinate efforts among multiple groups to enhance mitigation efforts, improve security posture and avoid duplication of efforts

* Stay up to date on cyber security news and trends
* Research vulnerabilities
* Proactively identify opportunities to mitigate potential threats
* Proactively identify any patterns within device and server logs to potentially identify systems of interest through log analysis
Qualifications:
Required Minimum:
* An understanding of TCP/IP network protocols and application layer protocols (e.g., HTTP, SMTP, DNS, etc.)
* Good understanding of Windows
* Strong working knowledge of security tools and devices
* Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
* Ability to work independently toward delivery of goals as well as collaborate in team efforts
* Excellent customer service skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Preferred
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technologies, Engineering or equivalent experience
* CompTIA Security+ Certification or equivalent
* Skill in organizing and managing projects
* Skill in building consensus among stakeholders and colleagues
Experience:
* 2+ years experience in various cyber security, lab or manufacturing roles
Additional Information
* Occasional off-hour/on-call support is necessary. A certain degree of flexibility of schedule is required as some work (planned/unplanned) must be done outside of major production hours during pre-scheduled maintenance windows
