Responsibilities:
The General Manager has overall responsibility for the direction, coordination, and evaluation of the entire site. This includes directly supervising a leadership team of Managers, Supervisors and Analysts. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training; planning and directing work; appraising performance; and managing disciplinary actions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Directs all activities related to receiving, technical screening, repair, remanufacturing, and distribution of set-top boxes
* P&L responsibility for the site; develops and manages annual budgets, implements cost-control measures, and drives shift efficiencies to meet financial targets
* Conceptualizes and standardizes work procedures; implements Lean Manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and asset utilization
* Manages multiple managers and supervisors, providing direction in support of departmental objectives and organizational change leadership
* Ensures 100% compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards; assigns projects dedicated to auditing processes to ensure remanufactured goods meet "like-new" specifications
* Manages cross-functional relationships with Supply Chain, Engineering, and External Suppliers to resolve escalated process issues and return authorization trends
* Oversees hiring, training, and leadership development; coaches subordinates to create career pathways and ensures a highly engaged, dignified culture for all employees
* Utilizes performance measurement systems (KPIs) to track production efficiency, inventory accuracy, and labor productivity, reporting directly to executive leadership
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or Supply Chain Management (Master's/MBA preferred)
* Minimum of 7-10 years of leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing or electronics repair environment, with at least 5 years in a senior management role
Skills and Qualifications:
* Deep understanding of Reverse Logistics, manufacturing processes, and Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma principles
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office/Google Workspace. Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (e.g., Manhattan Scale) and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) is highly preferred
* Proven ability to interact with and influence all levels of the organization, from front-line technicians to corporate executives
* Ability to work with complex mathematical concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and financial ratios
* Proven ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions regarding technical failures or operational bottlenecks
* Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical and non-technical instructions
