				Overview:

Zebra is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing Technical Operations team! You will be empowered and inspired to contribute to our mission for delivering and supporting optimized postponement processes at our Kenosha Distribution Center primarily focused on mobile handheld devices, scanners and related products with secondary support for printer products and aftermarket kits. You will support various operational groups to deliver efficient and effective process improvements using Lean Six Sigma tools in support of cost reduction goals. Apply today! 

This is an on-site position in Kenosha, WI.

Responsibilities:

* Work with account teams to perform product firmware / software updates and validations on handheld mobile devices
* Structure product BOMs to capture FW/SW, develop and document processes for mass production of product downloads, including using tools for wireless download
* Products supported by this role include based Android mobile computers, barcode scanners and related product and secondary support for various printers and accessories
* Define and improve standard hours for the Distribution Center reconfiguration/postponement area
* Determine Value Add vs. Non-Value Add activities and eliminate or reduce them
* Design layouts based on standards criteria
* Continuous Flow (Process, Material and People flow)
* Optimize the space utilization (reconfiguration, kitting, configuration)
* Capacity analysis for DL, IDL, machines, test equipment and all resources required on the operation
* Develop, manage, evaluate fixtures, machines and test equipment for ergonomics and times analysis before being implemented on the postponement line
* Define, improve and implement efficient rate of flow (Standard Time Analysis, Time Studies, MOST analysis)
* Drive the Lean Transformation initiatives with Lean Six Sigma as a framework
* Drive process digitalization and automation
* Manage and improve Engineering Change process
* Create Standard Work Instructions and procedures
* Support product conversions and quality rework activities
* Ensure Asset Management and Lifecycle control processes are maintained
* Evaluate and give input to design for ease of assembly and re/configuration
* Review packaging material for better handle and price reduction
* Work with the cross-functional team to meet the critical metrics like quality, cost, delivery, lead time and service
* Develop label templates to support product labeling requirements
* Develop and provide ongoing technical improvement plans and status reports on progress
* Resolves/leads complex development/ problem resolution / improvement projects. Continuous innovation.
* Support Kenosha DC site as well as remote partner and backup with the other engineers in the Netherlands, Singapore, and Shanghai
* Minimal travel required

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering and 4+ year experience or Masters degree in Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering and 2+ year experience

Preferred Qualifications:

* Advanced level of understanding of the manufacturing engineering discipline
* Advanced level of knowledge of manufacturing engineering equipment
* Strong understanding of lean six sigma framework
