				Overview:

The Managing Director is responsible for building and maintaining a Private Client Banking book of business by making commercial and consumer loans, acquiring commercial and consumer depository relationships, acquiring Private Client investment relationships and cross selling other bank products and services.  The Managing Director will develop and maintain a loan portfolio, which provides maximum profitability to the bank with minimum risk. In addition, this role will solicit and maintain a deposit portfolio which is profitable to the bank.

Responsibilities:

* Prospect for Private Client Banking clients and opportunities to obtain new banking relationships for the bank
* Conduct loan interviews to gain insight into the customer's financial needs and business operation and gather information to facilitate analysis
* Perform personal financial and business financial analysis to determine the customer's credit worthiness, evaluate management, identify trends in the business cycle and identify strengths and weaknesses in the business
* Establish and negotiate where necessary the terms under which credit will be extended, including fee, repayment method and collateral requirements
* When necessary structure loans to establish terms and rate proportionate with risk involved and match collateral life and business cycle to repayment schedule without constricting working capital or cash flow
* Manage portfolio yields and maintain documentation that complies with government regulations and bank policy
* Maintain current insurance, security documents, and financial data on loan portfolio
* Monitor customer compliance with loan agreement
* Monitor loan repayment activities and take action to collect past due accounts
* Advise customers where possible on business and financial matters
* Appraise and evaluate collateral conditions to establish a value using established guidelines
* Cultivate present customer relationships and prospect for new business through customer calls, also cross-selling bank services when possible
* Serve as a contact for depository accounts and monitor account status and approve overdrafts, also help customers when problems arise
* Consult and counsel peer group officers to aid in credit decisions collateral valuations and overall learning experience for all involved
* Develop materials and methods to enhance the officers' efforts in business development, financial analysis and overall performance of their duties
* Participate in community affairs to increase the bank's visibility and to enhance new business opportunities
* Undertake special projects related to departmental services as assigned by the senior loan officers
* Keep abreast of trends and conditions within the economy and the banking arena
* Conduct financial assessments to gain insight into the customer's financial needs
* Solicit and maintain a deposit portfolio
* Solicit Trust and investment business
* Cross-sell all services of the bank
* Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

* College degree in a Business-related field
* Hold and maintain Insurance Licenses and NMLS number
* 1 year previous lending experience or 3 years job related experience
* Good communication skills - i.e. the ability to effectively communicate with customers from diverse backgrounds
* Good Team Player, willing to help their team and other bankers in the bank be successful
* Thorough knowledge of banking, policies, and procedures
* Thorough and complete knowledge of all bank services
* A well-developed understanding of business structure, the role of company's management, along with the ability to analyze and evaluate that management
* A well-developed understanding of basic and advanced analytical techniques and the ability to apply these analytical techniques in a lending situation i.e. the ability to carry these skills forward in the evaluation, pricing structuring of a loan
* A thorough understanding of how problem loans develop and the appropriate techniques used to manage them
* A thorough understanding of relationship banking i.e. how to meet multiple customer financial needs
* A well-developed ability to organize and prioritize numerous complex and detailed loan cases
