Responsibilities:

As the Manager of Data Analytics, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of our analytics team within the Transport Department, develop and implement data-driven strategies, and provide actionable insights to support key business decisions. You will manage analytics projects, ensure data quality, and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making throughout the department and the wider organization.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leadership and Team Management:
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of data analysts, aligning their responsibilities with their long-term career goals and fostering a collaborative environment
* Implement efficient strategies for task distribution to optimize team productivity and enhance overall team efficiency
* Conduct regular development discussions and performance reviews to support career growth and align team efforts with departmental and organizational objectives

* Data Strategy and Analysis:
* Develop and execute data analytics strategies aligned with the department's goals and broader business objectives. Identify opportunities for leveraging data to enhance decision-making and drive business growth
* Oversee and manage multiple data analytics projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights
* Apply advanced analytical techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, machine learning) to solve complex business problems and deliver actionable insights

* Reporting and Data Quality:
* Create and deliver comprehensive reports, dashboards, and visualizations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders within the department and beyond
* Ensure the integrity and accuracy of data through robust data quality and governance practices, and establish and enforce data governance policies

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

* Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Analytics Professional) is preferred
* 5+ years of experience in data analytics or a related field, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role, may be considered in place of formal education

Skills and Qualifications:

* Proficiency in data analysis tools and languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R) Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and big data platforms (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
* Strong organizational and project management skills, with experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, manage performance, and drive results
