Overview:
The Manager Program Management is responsible for the successful launch of Zebra's products and solutions by directly and indirectly leading Program Management and cross-functional teams to achieve Zebra's goals. In this role, you will collect, interpret, and deliver feedback and status, hold the core team accountable for deliverables, and delegate assignments while staying on schedule and budget. This role requires someone with both Agile and Waterfall methodology experience. In addition, the role requires experience in the software development process.
You will be working with hardware and software solutions business units and therefore must have experience in both of these areas.
Responsibilities:
* Establishes best in class program management practices with the organization
* Provides functional Leadership of Program management teams with direct reports.
* Independently drives team growth and development plans and supports team development activities such as training, mentorships, and guiding growth opportunities.
* Executes on multiple moderate to large scope complex projects with cross-functional teams in multiple locations
* Uses and makes improvement recommendations to established tools, approaches/methodologies, and templates to guide and document the plan and communicate it to the team.
* Responsible for all aspects of program planning and execution fully autonomously
* Organizes cross-functional activities, ensuring program completion, i.e., product on schedule and within budget.
* Owns regular meeting coordination, facilitation, and documentation of progress.
* Operates cross-functionally to identify and execute solutions to unclearly defined, complex, portfolio level challenges.
* Demonstrates ability to navigate complex problems and overcome ambiguity with limited manager oversight
* Balances scope, schedule, and budget considerations to ensure program and business objectives are achieved.
* Assumes self and team accountability for program success.
* Executes and enables strategic cross-functional improvements. Assumes self and indirect project team's
accountability for program success against the objectives.
* Prepares and influentially present status updates and other deliverables to senior-level audiences
* Independently engages additional resources as needed to address obstacles/delays.
* Proactively provides recommendations for issue resolution and adjusts for delays/obstacles
* Establishes operational objectives and delegates assignments to achieve business results
* Demonstrates advanced knowledge of all PM techniques. Utilizes PM tools & techniques in scheduling & staffing plans with an understanding of task duration and dependencies.
* Develops comprehensive risk management plans.
* Demonstrates advanced knowledge of development processes and product launch scope and activities
* Identifies, recommends, and implements process improvements
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in [Engineering, Computer Science, Business] or a related field
* 10+ years' experience from program management role
* Experience in HW and SW program management -mandatory-
* Must have experience of software development processes, including and deploying systems into the market
* Experience with Agile/SCRUM/Waterfall methodologies required
* Demonstrated experience with leading program management teams
* Demonstrated strong influencing skills at varying levels, including C-suite
* Great communication and presenting skills
* Excellent in delegation and follow up
* Must have experience of software development processes, including and deploying systems into the market.
* Experience with Agile/SCRUM/Waterfall methodologies required.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Master's degree
* Effective in presenting and communicating (verbal and written), and facilitating to peers, direct reports, and executive audiences.
* Experience in hardware/data products.
* Comfortable and experienced in delegating and requesting follow-up.
* Software development management.
* PMP certification preferred
