Responsibilities:
Ellucian is seeking an experienced Software Delivery Manager to oversee the successful delivery of software projects, ensuring they meet quality standards, deadlines, and budget constraints.
This role is essential in driving team collaboration, aligning project outcomes with company goals, and implementing best practices in software development.
Where you will make an impact
Key Responsibilities:
Project & Delivery Management
* Manage the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple software projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
* Drive adherence to Agile methodologies, DevOps best practices, and SDLC processes to enhance efficiency and product quality.
* Identify potential risks in project delivery and develop proactive mitigation strategies.
Team Leadership & Operations
* Lead cross-functional teams within Professional Services, R&D, Product, and Functional Consulting, fostering collaboration among developers, QA, and other stakeholders.
* Ensure 75% utilization for all billable heads within the Consulting Center while maintaining a balance between supply and demand to achieve revenue and operating income targets.
* Contribute to Professional Services revenue, client satisfaction, and employee satisfaction by proactively managing workforce planning.
Stakeholder & Client Management
* Act as the primary offshore point of contact for the Onshore Regional Delivery Director, Project Managers, clients, and stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
* Establish and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring seamless communication and alignment of project objectives.
What you will bring
Educational & Professional Background
* 3-5 years of experience in:
* Client management
* Software services delivery
* Personnel management
Technical & Leadership Skills
* Proven experience in software delivery management, with a strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies (Scrum).
* Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to manage, mentor, and motivate cross-functional teams.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address challenges that arise during project execution.
Communication & Collaboration
* Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, essential for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, ensuring seamless project execution and stakeholder alignment.
Tools & Technology Proficiency
* Hands-on experience with software development and web technologies.
* Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA and Microsoft Project.
Desired Skills/Knowledge/Experience:
* Experience with Ellucian Banner, Ellucian Recruit, Ellucian DegreeWorks or other Student Success solutions
