				Overview:

As Manager of Plant Engineering Services, you will bring your healthcare facility experience to lead the day-to-day operations that keep our environments safe, efficient, and fully operational. You'll guide a skilled team responsible for maintaining critical building systems that directly support patient care, often working in spaces shared with patients, visitors, and clinical teams.

In this hands-on leadership role, you will partner closely with hospital leadership and clinical staff to ensure a safe, reliable environment-making a difference when patients need it most.

Travel between facilities is required to support operations. On-call also required.

Responsibilities:
 
* Plan, organize, and oversee plant operations and facility maintenance activities across the site
* Ensure all building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, utilities, and grounds) are maintained in safe and reliable working condition
* Lead and develop a team of maintenance technicians across multiple trades
* Manage daily work assignments, preventive maintenance programs, and repair activities
* Coordinate and oversee outside vendors, contractors, and service agreements
* Monitor labor and material usage to ensure efficient operations and cost control
* Support construction and renovation projects across the facility
* Serve as an on-call leader and respond to facility-related issues as needed
* Act as a coach, mentor, and change leader for team members across all shifts
* Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain readiness for inspections
* Lead Environment of Care (EOC) efforts, including Safety, Security, Hazardous Materials/Waste, Life Safety, Emergency Management, Medical Equipment, and Utility Systems programs

Qualifications:

Education:

* High School Diploma or GED required
* Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience:

* 5+ years of experience in healthcare engineering, plant operations, or facility maintenance required
* Previous leadership or lead technician experience preferred
* Experience or exposure to Environment of Care (EOC) programs strongly preferred

Required Skills:

* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and utility systems (including medical gas and fire protection systems)
* Knowledge of regulatory requirements (e.g., Joint Commission, DNV, CMS) and applicable building, fire, and electrical codes
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
* Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a self-directed team
* Skill in data analysis, organization, and presentation
* Proficiency with computer applications, including spreadsheets and word processing
* Ability to work effectively with physicians, leadership, clinical teams, and external partners

Licensure/Certification:

* Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) preferred
