This role will support expansion of the Orthopedic Surgery Center for the Operating Room team. We are expanding based on recent growth and are hiring a new Surgical Services leader for the Operating Room team. Our team! COSM has brought together numerous complementary healthcare services, such as orthopedic walk-in care, a surgery center, physical therapy, pharmacy services, and many more. Patients will experience accessible and affordable orthopedic care unlike any other in the Treasure Valley. Schedule: 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) Monday-Friday Exempt level leadership role. https://www.stlukesonline.org/about-st-lukes/capital-projects/st-lukes-center-for-orthopedics-and-sports-medicine-project Qualifications: * Education: Bachelor's of Nursing Degree (BSN) * Experience: 5 year's experience in assigned area * Licenses/Certifications: Current RN licensure from the State of Practice AND Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross. * Leadership experience in ambulatory surgery (ASC) or hospital Operating Room/Periop * Background in orthopedics (OR) or full periop scope (Pre/PACU) * Experience managing teams and accountability * Strong interpersonal communication Responsibilities: The Manager Perioperative Services 1 is a member of the Perioperative leadership team responsible for the operation of the department and the measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of the department's performance. Directs outpatient surgery center or critical access facility. * Provides day-to-day oversight of the unit/department assigned. * Provides leadership, guidance, counseling and continuing education to staff. Will select, develop, coach, mentor, and assess performance of staff. * Consults with other administrative or management personnel to develop operational, strategic, and long-range plans, including resource allocation and organizational policies. * Responsible for fiscal management, performance improvement activities, and compliance with all relevant policies/procedures and regulations. * Supports and participates in a plan for continuous quality improvement ensuring the efficiency of the department(s) as well as continuity of quality care for all patient/customers. * Exercises considerable judgment in applying professional knowledge in solving problems within established policies and practices. Serves as expert and resource to staff. * Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
