Responsibilities:

Lead the charge in managing resources and daily operations of the Medical/Surgical/Tele Acute department, championing high standards of patient care. Mentor and empower both new and seasoned staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning. Drive unit activities for each shift, overseeing task delegation and organization for the nursing team.
Responsibilities:
* Oversee a department of nurses, ensuring everyone has what they need to deliver the best care possible to our patients.
* Engage with the floor. Talk to the nurses, the patients, and families. Keep your finger on the pulse of your department so you can keep things running smoothly.
* Manages the resources and daily activities of the nursing department while ensuring environmental factors support high standards of patient care.
* Assists in the training and development of new and existing staff members.
* Mentor people on your team. Share your knowledge and confidence with assistant nurse managers, charge nurses, and others. Build them into potential nurse managers like yourself.
* Coordinates the activities of the unit during a particular shift and directs, organizes and assigns work to the nursing staff.

Qualifications:

* Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience in Medical/Surgical or Telemetry Acute (or combination of these) and one (1) year of leadership experience.
* Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or equivalent education and experience.
* California RN license (or ability to obtain an RN license in California)
* Certifications required: BLS and ACLS
