Overview:
The primary purpose of the Manager, Marketing Automation role is to identify, measure, and provide guidance to the Automation team and stakeholders for campaign processes and metrics. This role will be responsible for implementing and optimizing our Marketing Automation Platform to drive lead generation, enhance customer engagement, and boost revenue growth. This requires working cross-functionally with marketing, sales, and IT to ensure our automation efforts align with business objectives and deliver a high return on investment. This role manages the workflow of various requests and brings ideas of continuous process improvement.
Responsibilities:
* Marketing Automation Platform Expert: Own and administer the marketing automation platform, Marketing Cloud Account Engagement/Pardot (MCAE) for the end user audience, managing its technical health, integrations, and the evaluation of new marketing technologies
* Marketing Process Optimization: Liaise and optimize scalable, automated marketing processes, including lead scoring, nurturing, and campaign workflows to support the full customer lifecycle
* Innovation & AI: Champion the use of AI and emerging technologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness within our marketing automation programs, staying current on industry trends
* Data Analysis & Reporting: Establish a robust analytics framework to report on campaign performance, using A/B testing and data-driven insights to optimize for ROI, partnering with the customer experience analytics team
* Data Management: Govern marketing database health, segmentation, and data integrity, while ensuring full compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR)
* Team Collaboration & Training: Serve as the subject matter expert on marketing automation, providing expert guidance and training to empower the automation team and other marketers on automation best practices and tools
Must be able to work hybrid (3 days in office/2 remote) from Lincolnshire, IL or downtown Chicago
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field
* 8+ years of related work experience in marketing. 5+ years of experience with a marketing automation platform, MCAE and/or Pardot experience is a plus
* 10% travel domestic and international
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
* Platform & Process Expertise: Deep, hands-on proficiency with Marketing Cloud Account Engagement/Pardot, including system administration, process optimization, and data governance. Proven experience designing and governing scalable marketing workflows. A forward-thinking mindset with a strong understanding of how AI and machine learning can be applied to marketing automation.
* Data & Analytical Acumen: Proven ability to analyze and interpret complex data from multiple sources, synthesizing it into actionable insights and strategic recommendations to improve campaign performance and ROI.
* Communication & Leadership: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated success in a people management role, with the ability to teach, coach, and develop a high-performing team.
* Project & Stakeholder Management: Strong project management skills with a demonstrated ability to manage multiple initiatives, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously. Experience with project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet).
