The Manager, Inventory & Procurement  role focuses on end-to-end inventory process ownership, strategic improvement, and oversight. In addition to managing inventory systems and collaborating across functions, you will lead a team responsible for inventory operations. This role requires providing coaching, setting performance expectations, and supporting professional growth within your team, as well as drawing on expertise in inventory management, warehouse operations, and international shipping and logistics.

Responsibilities:

Inventory & Process Management

*  Develop, implement, and monitor inventory control procedures to optimize efficiency and
accuracy, ensuring that all team members follow best practices.

*  Forecast demand and set optimal reorder points using data analysis.

*  Own, document, and refine inventory management processes to ensure efficiency and
compliance.

*  Analyze key inventory metrics (turnover, shrinkage, aging) and deliver actionable insights to
leadership.

*  Ensure integrity and optimal configuration of inventory management systems.

*  Lead regular reviews of inventory targets, safety stock, and adjustment of stock levels.

People Management

*  Supervise and lead the inventory or warehouse team, including hiring, training, setting work
schedules, assigning tasks, and evaluating performance.

*  Foster a positive and productive team environment, setting expectations for safety, efficiency,
and quality in all inventory operations.

*  Coach, mentor, and develop team members, providing ongoing support and opportunities for
skill development.

*  Monitor daily team activities, ensuring that all warehouse and inventory processes (receiving,
put-away, picking, shipping, etc.) operate smoothly and efficiently.

*  Partner with the Sr Manager and HR to address performance issues, resolve conflicts, uphold
company policies, and promote accountability.

*  Conduct regular team meetings to communicate company goals, procedural updates, safety
protocols, and provide team feedback.

*  Oversee compliance with safety standards and company policies and ensure all team
members are properly trained in safety procedures and regulations.

International Shipping & Logistics

*  Coordinate international shipments with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers,
ensuring compliance with trade regulations.

*  Prepare, review, and maintain documentation for international shipping (commercial invoices,
packing lists, export/import documents, certificates of origin).

*  Track international shipments, proactively resolve delays or customs clearance issues, and
communicate updates to stakeholders.

*  Lead or support trade compliance audits and maintain trade-related documentation for
recordkeeping and audit readiness.

Audit, Compliance, & Reporting

*  Conduct and lead physical inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and support audit
processes.

*  Maintain reporting for inventory and shipping KPIs, including data on international logistics.

*  Ensure inventory and shipping activities comply with organizational policies and global
regulatory requirements.

Cross-functional Collaboration

*  Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments, suppliers, and logistics partners to
coordinate inventory processes and address supply or quality issues.

*  Serve as the subject matter expert for inventory and international shipping practices.

*  Liaise with supply chain, operations, and external shipping partners to align inventory
availability with project and business needs.

Qualifications:

*  2+ years Supervisory or Management experience

*  In-depth understanding of inventory management principles, ERP systems, and international
shipping regulations.

*  Advanced knowledge of U.S. and international trade and customs requirements.

*  Strong analytical and reporting abilities to support decision-making and process
improvement.

*  Experience with logistics documentation and international freight processes.

*  Effective communicator, able to communicate procedures across teams and to
external partners.

*  Project management skills for system/process initiatives with global reach.

*  APICS or international trade certification (e.g., CSCP, CGBP) preferred.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

*  High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associates Degree Preferred

*  Certification in Project Management a plus

ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

*  Required to obtain and be able to maintain various certifications, licenses and/or registrations,
in accordance with applicable state laws and as required by the electronic security regulations
in the state(s) which they are working.

*  Required to maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

*  Strong leadership and people supervision skills.

*  Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.

*  Collaborative mindset and the ability to interact with diverse teams.

*  Ability to interface and communicate with customers and co-workers in a clear and
professional manner.

*  Client-focused approach and the ability to support client services and sales efforts.
