We are seeking a seasoned and results-driven IT Manager III to lead the teams responsible for our enterprise collaboration and productivity platforms. As a senior leader within the IT Operations organization, you will guide the strategy and execution for a suite of critical technologies-including Google Workspace, Slack, and our email security and data compliance solutions-that support a 24,000+ person workforce across iconic brands like DISH, Sling, and EchoStar.
This is a key leadership role requiring a hybrid of strategic vision, deep operational expertise, and a genuine passion for people leadership. You will directly manage three distinct teams of technical specialists, responsible for everything from architectural design and project execution to incident command and vendor management. You will be a trusted partner to other leaders, driving innovation and ensuring the reliability and security of the tools that power our entire business.
Strategic Execution & Platform Ownership
* Develop and execute the strategic roadmap for all cloud productivity, collaboration, and email security platforms, ensuring alignment with broader IT and business objectives
* Lead the implementation and governance of enterprise AI tools, partnering with Security, Legal, and business units to ensure a secure and effective rollout
* Manage the full lifecycle of enterprise applications within your portfolio, from strategic planning and process creation to operational support and eventual decommissioning
* Drive high-impact technical projects, such as post-merger system integrations and the migration of core security gateways
Leadership & Team Development
* Lead, mentor, and develop three distinct teams responsible for application support, productivity platforms, and email infrastructure

* Guide the professional growth of your team members, identifying opportunities for them to take on new challenges, expand their skills, and advance their careers
* Manage your team's operational cadence, including a unique on-call-led daily standup, bi-weekly 1-on-1s, and a structured weekly reporting process
Operational Excellence & Financial Management
* Hold ultimate accountability for the stability, performance, and security of all managed platforms, maintaining exceptional uptime and serving as a senior leader during major incidents
* Own the monthly operational metrics reporting for your domain, presenting data and key insights on platform health, security posture, and team performance to IT leadership
* Contribute to the development of the annual operational budget and manage platform-specific finances, including license optimization and cost-saving initiatives
* Manage key vendor relationships, acting as a trusted partner to ensure performance, navigate enterprise challenges, and maximize the value of our investments
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
* 8+ years of progressive experience in IT infrastructure, cloud engineering, or enterprise application management
* 5+ years in a formal people leadership role managing individual contributors in a technical environment
Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience operating in a highly regulated environment, with a proven ability to embed security and compliance principles into all aspects of platform management
* Expert-level knowledge of managing Google Workspace in a large-scale, complex enterprise setting
* Demonstrated experience managing the full lifecycle of complex technical projects and initiatives
* Proven ability to communicate complex technical and financial information effectively to senior leadership and key business stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications (What Sets You Apart):
* Direct experience contributing to IT budget planning and managing software licensing costs
* Experience leading teams through significant organizational change, such as mergers or major platform migrations
* Hands-on experience with enterprise email security gateways (e.g., Mimecast, Proofpoint) and data encryption and compliance solutions
* Familiarity with service management frameworks like ITIL and experience supporting environments subject to regulations such as ITAR or EAR
* Google Professional Collaboration Engineer, PMP, or other relevant professional certifications
