Responsibilities:
Job Summary
This job reports to the Director of Perioperative, Cath Lab/IR and Diagnostic Imaging Services and has 24/7 responsiblity for organizing, planning, managing and evaluating clinical and management activities for the surgical services and sterile processing departments and in accordance with CHI-Franciscan Health (CHI-FH) policies/standards/procedures and applicable regulatory/accreditation requirements. An incumbent actively participates in the use of lean management techniques and overall operations of the Perioperative Service Line to support the continuity and quality of patient care and foster inter-departmental communication/collaboration. Providing bedside care is not a routine expectation of this position.
Qualifications:
Education/Work Experience Requirements
* Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, and four years of work in surgical services, including two years in a charge nurse/leadership position (or equivalent).
Licensure/Certification
* Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
* Specialty certification (e.g. CNOR, Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse [CPAN], Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) is preferred.
* Current American Heart Association healthcare provider BLS certification.
