				Overview:

This is a hybrid role. 2 days remote (Monday, Friday) and 3 days onsite (Tuesday-Thursday)

The Manager of Business Intelligence will serve as the technical supervisor overseeing the development of a portfolio of Business Intelligence applications supporting CubeSmart's operations.  These applications include, but are not limited to, CubeSmart's master data, business analytics, data visualizations, and reporting platforms.  The role will serve as the technical authority on all aspects of the systems by synthesizing requirements from internal stakeholders, supporting internal and external development teams throughout the implementation of these requirements, coordinating product releases, and managing the product roadmap of the applications.

Responsibilities:

* Day to day management of a team of business intelligence developers, responsible for development assignments, workload monitoring, feature request intake and backlog prioritization supporting CubeSmart's enterprise reporting, analytics and data visualizations systems
* Collaborate with technology teams and business stakeholders to establish, document, and prioritize the technical requirements for the in-scope applications
* Oversight and execution of the system product roadmap to ensure long-term application viability and stability
* Management of product release schedule, coordination with business stakeholders to communicate the impact of releases, and ensure that changing business conditions are understood and considered in managing the product backlog
* Development of test plans and product acceptance criteria for all product releases and responsible for ensuring that all product releases adhere to the established criteria and pass all applicable test cases
* Hands-on oversight of the application development activities, including code standards, core library development, and conducting code reviews
* Provide mentorship and oversight of business reporting power users to enable their adoption of Qlik Cloud for business analytics
* Develop, maintain, and govern a working inventory of Qlik data models and pre-defined metrics to support further adoption of Qlik for business insights and analytics

Qualifications:

Education, Training and/or Experience

* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent related technical field
* 7-10 years' experience of business intelligence and reporting development, 
* Proven experience with at least 3 years in the direct supervision/management of business intelligence developers
* Proven experience with multiple software development methodologies including Agile, DevOps, and Rapid Application Development and the ability to determine the appropriate model to fit the project and business environment
* Proven experience and track record in developing project plans, translation of business requirements into data, reporting and technical specifications
* Proven technical project management skills, and experience delivering on-time and on-budget projects focused on data delivery, reporting and business analytics
* Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to effectively convey complex information to a wide variety of stakeholders and audiences.
* Strong business process knowledge and application of technology solutions to fulfill and exceed business requirements

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Personal Characteristics

* Experience with coordinating between business and technical teams to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of advanced business performance reporting and analytics
* Experience with developing, testing, and deploying modern business intelligence applications to a variety of internal and external business stakeholders 
* Proven hands-on experience managing an on-prem or cloud-based Business Intelligence platform, preferably Qlik Cloud
* Experience with a cloud-based data platform, preferably Databricks
* Experience with managing code deployments, source code change management, and automated CI/CD pipelines
* Service oriented leader who possesses a true 24 7 support and service mentality.
* Collaborative individual who creates open channels of communications and encourages technical dialogue and promotes technical bench across the department
* Well-developed analytical and problem-solving abilities
