Overview: The Manager of Brand Integrations is responsible for translating brand strategies into large-scale, tentpole programs that drive scalable commercial impact. This role focuses on executing brand strategies through the creation and execution of key retail initiatives, brand partnerships, consumer activation events, and other high-visibility activations. This manager works cross-functionally to ensure these efforts are seamlessly integrated into the broader marketing and commercial ecosystems, reinforcing brand equity at every touchpoint through strategic thinking and hands-on activation. The ideal Manager of Brand Integrations: * Combines strategic thinking, creativity with commercial discipline, cross-functional leadership with genuine respect for diverse expertise * Possesses retail knowledge and fluency in both shopper and consumer insights * Demonstrates authentic passion for consumer behavior through obsessive curiosity about evolving behaviors, cultural movements, and current and future trends * Can establish clear KPIs and postmortem evaluation processes that measure program success, extract insights, and continuously improve execution * Elevates tentpoles into brand-building moments that connect consumer insight creative storytelling retail activation measurable business impact * Shows drive to push work forward, judgement to make smart calls under ambiguity, and influence to rally teams around excellence * Leads with confidence These don't disqualify but patterns should give pause: * Tactical thinker, not strategic: Can't connect activations to broader business objectives or explain the "why" behind decisions-only describes what they did, not why it mattered. * Can't distinguish shopper vs. consumer insights, speaks generically, shows no curiosity about trends, and hasn't done recent retail/shopper observation. * Describes "managing" instead of "influencing," escalates problems rather than solving them, and can't demonstrate leading peers across functions without direct reports. * Passive and reactive: Waits for direction, accepts "good enough" work, blames others when things fail, and shows low ownership or energy about past results * Hides behind "we" instead of owning "I": Constantly says "we did this" or "the team achieved that" without articulating their specific contribution, decision-making role, or personal accountability for outcomes-signals lack of ownership mentality. * Uncomfortable with business metrics: Vague about ROI/KPIs, can't discuss building business cases or defending budgets, and relies only on soft metrics without connecting to business outcomes.
