Overview: The Operations Manager, Accounts Receivable Collections position will oversee a team of eight or more employees responsible for clearing aged receivables through research, analysis, payment application, audit resolution, and third-party vendor management. This position will lead the overall day to day collection process including data analytics/KPI's, reporting, escalations, and collaboration with the team as well as other internal departments to increase process efficiencies. This will be a hands-on role and will require the manager to perform collector functions as needed. Responsibilities: Oversee Accounts Receivable Collections team. Serve as escalation point for issues that impact high profile agents, customers, and internal business units. Perform collector functions as needed to ensure goal attainment. Build a continuous improvement mindset across the team and help identify opportunities for efficiency. Establish, manage, and communicate both individual and team departmental goals Model behavior and coach, mentor, motivate and hold each individual accountable. Develop and evolve one on one meetings with each individual creating two-way communication. Develop ongoing training program for new hires. Partner with IT to resolve issues and enhance system support. Qualifications: Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent. 5+ years of progressive management experience in a production environment. Insurance/Banking/Financial industry experience preferred. Excellent computer skills and highly proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook. Collaborative management style. Outstanding communication and people skills. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Experienced in coaching, mentoring, motivating, and providing constructive feedback. Experience in setting and meeting ambitious goals in a challenging/fast paced environment. Experience in automation and analyzing/summarizing large data sets. Success in documenting workflows and processes.
