Minimum Qualifications for this Role: 

* Education: Associate degree or experience in lieu of degree
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Certified through American Safety and Health Institute, American Heart Association, or American Red Cross.
* American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
* Mammography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.

Responsibilities:

Performs a variety of routine mammography related procedures by operating x-ray equipment to perform exams.

* Collect key information from the patient, family, provider, and nurses that are specific to the exam being performed in order to assist the provider in the proper diagnosis.
* Educate patient, family or provider as to the extent and detail of each procedure, which may include informed consent as well as pre-and post-procedure instructions.
* Ensure the proper exam is being administered to the patient. Consult provider as needed.
* Verification and quality check of performed images on picture archiving and communication system (PACS).
* Maintain proper inventory levels of all supplies as required.
* Perform daily equipment inspections.
* Performs the most advanced tasks with little to no supervision.
* May assist provider during diagnostic procedures. May participate in performance improvement initiatives. May participate in interview, training, onboarding process.
* Oversee quality functions throughout all mammography sites, ensuring consistency and accuracy.
* May be responsible for all Food & Drug Administration (FDA)
* Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and American College of Radiology (ACR) certification requirements for each site.
* Practice guidelines specific to ALARA policy (As Low As Reasonably Achievable).
* Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

* Mammography certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
