Position Overview: Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist)

Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) performs a variety of digital mammography procedures, including screening and diagnostic exams, wire localizations, galactography, biopsy procedures, DEXA exams, and quality control. The Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) ensures high-quality care is provided to the patient while meeting the needs of the organization, regulatory agencies, physicians, and staff. A working knowledge and experience in Digital Mammography, sterile technique, and documentation and record-keeping are essential for success in this role. This position requires the ability to work independently, provide excellent patient care and communication, and demonstrate a commitment to our Core Values. 

Qualifications:

Requirements:

* Minimum 5 years prior experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
* Current CA Radiology Technologist license 
* Current Mammographic Permit
* Current BLS Certification
* Digital Training Documentation 
* Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology Program
* Must provide documentation of Digital Mammography Tomo training (8 hrs) Mammography Experience (200 exams in previous 24 months) and Mammography Continuing Education (15 hrs in previous 36 months). 
* Able to operate radiologic equipment
* Good communication and patient care skills.

Preferred:

* ARRT Certificate 
* IV Certification 
* Associates Degree
