Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Radiologist, the Radiology Technologist (Mammography Technologist) performs a variety of digital mammography procedures including screening and diagnostic exams, wire localizations, galactography, biopsy procedures, DEXA exams and quality control.

This position requires the ability to work independently, provide excellent patient care and communication, and demonstrate a commitment to the Core Values. The Radiology Technologist(Mammography Technologist) ensures that high quality care is provided to the patient while meeting the needs of the organization, regulatory agencies, physicians and staff. This position requires a working knowledge and experience in Digital Mammography, sterile technique, and documentation and record keeping. 

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

* Must provide documentation of Digital Mammography training (8 hrs), Mammography Experience (200 exams in previous 24 months), and Mammography Continuing Education (15 hrs in previous 36 months)
* Graduate of an AMA accredited Radiologic Technology Program
* Current CRT Required
* Current Mammographic Permit Required 
* Current BLS Card
* Digital Training Documentation
* Good communication and patient care skills
* Able to operate radiologic equipment

PREFERRED:

* Associates degree preferred
* ARRT Certification preferred
* IV Certification preferred
