Facility: Hilton Head Medical Center | Location: Hilton Head, SC | Position Type: Part-Time |
Work Schedule: M-F 7:00a-3:30p, and/or 8:00a-5:00pm
Responsibilities:
* Perform screening and diagnostic mammography procedures while providing a safe, compassionate, and remarkable patient experience.
* Prepare, position, and educate patients throughout mammography exams while maintaining comfort, privacy, and dignity.
* Operate mammography equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for physician interpretation.
* Assist physicians with diagnostic procedures and follow established imaging protocols.
Qualifications:
* Education: 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred. Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program, required.
* Experience: One year of experience in mammography, preferred.
* Licensure/Certification/Registration: Certified and registered by ARRT in Radiography and Mammography - RT(R)(M), required. Certified and registered by ARRT in Bone Densitometry - RT(R)(M)(BD), preferred. Applicable state license, required.
* Additional skills required: Analytical ability, basic computer skills, good communication skills, ability to adapt to procedures based on age of patient, ability to interpret information to identify each patient's requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Prepares patient for procedures. Operates Mammography equipment.
