				Overview:

As our Mammo Tech at CHI Williston Health, you will perform a variety of routine mammography related procedures by operating x-ray equipment on designated areas.

Responsibilities:

* Capable of obtaining quality mammograms and radiographs using proper exposure, markers, and shielding, and knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms.
* Instructs and educates patient regarding the ordered test and prepares the patient for the procedure
* Able to perform all Mammography exams including localizations/stereotactic biopsies, print images, and perform CAD on digital images.
* Able to use CR reader, erase CR cassettes, send images from CR reader, and perform image manipulation as necessary.
* Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations.  Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD's, transfer images, and print from PACS.
* Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms
* Maintains order, stock, and cleanliness of all areas in the department
* Practices safe work habits, compliance with safety rules and regulations, and adheres to safety policies

Qualifications:

Required Education and Experience 

* Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology. 
* Minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.

Required Licensure and Certifications

* Registered Technologist Mammography, RTM.
* American Heart Association Basic Life Support Card, BLS-CPR.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training

* Strong oral communications skills
* Ability to deal with conflict and difficult people
* Strong critical thinking skills
* Knowledge of all regulatory agencies and their standards and processes
* Ability to manage multiple priorities
