Provides technical expertise in Mammography procedures in accordance with the mission and philosophy of CHI  St Alexius Health.  Provides leadership with Mammography MQSA standards.

Provides technical expertise in Bone Densitometry radiographic procedures in accordance with the mission and philosophy of Chi St Alexius Health.  Responsible for the QC of the equipment and precision testing.

Responsibilities:

* Successfully performs screening and diagnostic clinical procedures with a high degree of accuracy and precision.

* Follows established radiation safety protocols for patients and staff.

* Manages the routine use and the QC requirements of the equipment

* Provides appropriate patient care for patient needs

* Demonstrates professional practice standards

* Provides leadership in maintaining the MQSA standards

Qualifications:

Required Education for Staff Job Levels

Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology and registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology.  Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.  Must actively work toward registry and licensure in Mammography and Bone Densitometry as required by MQSA and the ND state NDMIRT

Required Minimum Experience

Radiography skills and clinical experience obtained in School of Radiologic Technology

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

 Data entry and analysis.  Computer skills.   Has the ability to relate well with Staff, patients, physicians and visitors.  Ability to communicate effectively.  Maintains confidentiality 

PREFERRED Education and/or Experience

Basic Life Support Certification (CPR- Healthcare Provider) within 480 hours of employment and meets re-certification as required.

Licensure: Registered Radiologic/Mammography/Bone Densitometry with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology and the ND state NDMIRT.

Preference for one year experience as a Mammography Technologist.

Preference for Bone Densitometry experience.
