Overview:
This position is physically located in Balad, Iraq
Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, oversees the day-to-day execution of the vehicle maintenance program. Directly supervises up to two Shop Leads who are responsible for all assigned Maintenance Section personnel. Is responsible for Maintenance Section planning and scheduling maintenance workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, equipment, and facilities. Prepares, analyzes, and briefs reports on maintenance schedules, production, performance, and trends across the departments. Ensures effective enforcement of established policies and procedures.

* Oversees the day-to-day execution of the vehicle maintenance program.
* Directly supervises up to two Shop Leads who are responsible for all assigned Maintenance Section personnel.
* Is responsible for Maintenance Section planning and scheduling maintenance workloads to optimize use of resources, including personnel, time, tools, equipment, and facilities.
* Prepares, analyzes, and briefs reports on maintenance schedules, production, performance, and trends across the departments.
* Ensures effective enforcement of established policies and procedures.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
* High school diploma or equivalent. Must provide a copy of diploma.
* Must be a U.S. Citizen
* Experience:
* Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in wheeled-vehicle maintenance
* Five (5) years of supervisory experience.
* Military experience and training in a maintenance-related field preferred.
* Licenses/Certifications:
* Driver's license, preferably a Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
* Skills:
* Must have effective communication and organizational skills.
* Must be able to work with people of diverse background.
* Possesses good Customer service, interpersonal and leadership skills.
* Must be knowledgeable of/possesses the ability to identify the Military rank structure.
* Must have expert knowledge of technical and commercial manuals for operations, servicing, and repair so that the correct procedures are used on the assigned equipment.
* Must have full knowledge of management and usage of TMDE.
* Must be proficient performing in performing troubleshooting on automotive systems.
* Must be proficient in all phases of the paperwork that pertains to maintenance services, repairs, classification, etc.
* Possesses expert knowledge of the maintenance prints so as to be able to establish workload priority.
* Must be able to function effectively with little to no guidance.
* Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of Applications (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
* Supervisor Responsibilities:
* Responsible for all assigned Maintenance Section Personnel
* Working Conditions:
* Must be capable of working in an extreme weather conditions with temperatures exceeding 120 degrees Fahrenheit.
* Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, dry, dusty, desert environment with average temperatures of 30 degrees in the winter and 130 degrees in the summer months).
* Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
* Physical Requirements:
* Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
* Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices.
* Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
