Responsibilities:
Flex Shift - (Availability to work between the hours of 5:00 AM - 2:00 AM as this position may flex between 1st and 2nd shifts) Monday through Thursday
Starting Pay - $27.33/hr

The Industrial Technician Level I is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial machinery and equipment to ensure efficient and safe plant operations. This role requires a hands-on approach to diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, performing preventative maintenance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production reliability and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Perform routine and preventative maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery, sewing machines, equipment, and all facility systems ensuring proper and safe operation.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic system failures.
* Maintain and repair facility infrastructure and equipment.
* Perform setups and changeovers in a safe and efficient manner in a fast-paced production environment.
* Respond promptly to inoperable production and facility equipment and report any potentially hazardous situations.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assist in troubleshooting and repairs.
* Assist in the installation, modification, and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
* Conduct regular inspections to identify wear and potential failures, ensuring timely intervention.
* Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and improve equipment efficiency.
* Utilize and maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
* Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a safe secure work environment.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives by recommending and implementing efficiency-enhancing solutions.
* Assist with inventory management of spare parts and maintenance supplies.
Qualifications:
Knowledge and Skills:
* Experience in industrial maintenance and knowledge in:
* Electrical systems
* Industrial controls/PLC's
* Pneumatics and hydraulics
* Technical drawing's
* Mechanical systems
* Facility systems
* Machine shop equipment (lathe and mill)
* Sewing machine repairs
* Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
* Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal).
* Ability to work collaboratively with team members across all levels of the organization.
Education and Experience Requirements:
* High school diploma or GED required.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance role.
* Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and facility systems.
* Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
* Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and machine shop equipment.
* Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is required.
* Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under minimal supervision.
* Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts as needed.
Physical Requirements:
* Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and lift up to 50lbs for extended periods.
* Work in varying temperatures and environments, including loud and high-energy production areas.
* Ability to safely operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance-related equipment (certification preferred or must be obtained upon hire).
