Responsibilities:
V2X is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for our III MEF Contractor Maintenance Support Contract located in Okinawa, Japan.
* The incumbent will perform PM and CM task on USMC equipment as directed by the Site Supervisor and Maintenance Mechanic Leads. Responsible for identifying and communicating repair/replacement parts to the Maintenance Mechanic Lead in the absence of the Site Supervisor using the Parts Requirement Form.
Qualifications:
* Minimum Requirements:
* Minimum four (4) years' experience as a Maintenance Mechanic. Excellent ability in oral and written comminutions. Ability to speak, read and write English. Able to obtain Government Access Card. Must have some knowledge of vehicle technical manuals.
* Preferred Requirements: (In addition to minimum requirements)
* Former USMC Maintenance Mechanic.
* Mental Requirement:
* Think analytically, observe and examine details, concentrate on task, effective verbal communication skills, remember details, adjust to change, effective written communication, interpret data correctly, handle stress/emotions, and make logical decisions.
* Performance Requirements:
* Regular attendance. Attend meeting with Government personnel if required. Maintain work schedule at all sites. Meet deadlines. Stay organized.
* Physical Requirements:
* Stand, kneel, sit, crouch, repetitive motion, walk, crawl, eye/hand coordination, climb (stairs/ladders), reach, push, pull, talk, lift up to 50 pounds, balance, hear, bend, see, stoop, and carry up to 40 pounds.
